The face masks available for purchase at The Ark Clothing Co are made in Melbourne by THREAD Group Australia. All masks available at The Ark are ethically accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia. ECA accreditation means that every person involved in making the masks is working in safe conditions, being fairly paid and receiving all their entitlements.

[/content] [title]What type of masks do you offer?[/title] [content]

We offer two types of THREAD Group Australia unisex masks:

THREAD Group Australia Two layer mask – 100% cotton, breathable, reusable non-medical face mask with 20cm nylon ear loop elastic.

THREAD Group Australia Three layer mask – made of two 100% cotton inner layers and an outer layer made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton with 20cm nylon ear loop elastic. Designed in line with World Health Organisation guidelines.

[/content] [title]Are your masks medical grade?[/title] [content]

No. THREAD Group Australia face masks are non-medical grade and not intended for clinical use. These masks must not be used as a substitute for following all government Covid19 regulations and recommendations including staying at home, self-isolating, social distancing and hand washing hygiene.

[/content] [title]Do your masks come in different sizes?[/title] [content]

THREAD Group Australia’s unisex face masks come in one size only to fit most. The size specifications are:

Width – 9cm
Length – 17cm
Width when open – 16.8cm
20 cm ear elastic

A small number of people are outside the 20cm ear elastic tolerance of the face masks.

[/content] [title]Are your masks suitable for children?[/title] [content]

THREAD Group Australia’s unisex face masks are not designed for children. However, young adults/teenagers may tolerate the fit.

[/content] [title]How do I wash my masks?[/title] [content]

We recommend that you wash your face mask using a mild detergent up to 90 degrees after every use. Do not tumble dry.

We can deliver anywhere in Australia and internationally.

[/content] [title]What shipping do you offer?[/title] [content]

We offer standard and express delivery of THREAD Group Australia’s face masks anywhere in Australia.


We also offer standard international delivery. Due to Covid19, there may be delays in delivery to international destinations. Depending on the value of your order and the destination country, you may be charged import or customs charges. These charges are imposed by the destination country and we are not able to control or estimate any applicable fees or charges. Customs and import fees are the responsibility of the person receiving the parcel, and are not included in the cost of delivery. Please check with your country’s customs service if you need more information.

[/content] [title]How long will my masks take to reach me?[/title][content]

Once processed, your order will be shipped with Australia Post and delivery timeframes may vary. We're working hard to ship your masks as soon as possible.

Orders are usually shipped within 3 - 7 business days and you will be notified when your order is dispatched. (This excludes pre-order items or items on back-order).


If for any reason we are unable to dispatch your order we will notify you within 2 business days. Countries outside Australia will receive orders in approximately 14 working days.


On occasion, some international shipments may take up to 3 weeks to arrive, depending on the amount of time it may take for an item to clear customs. Postage charge does not include possible taxes and duties which may be applied by customs in the country where the order originated. If your country of origin is not listed in the freight list at theark.com.au please email sales@theark.com.au with your order.


Freight charges will be calculated accordingly and you will be notified of the cost before your order is processed.

Due to the personal nature of the product, unfortunately returns and exchanges cannot be accepted. If you have any questions about our returns policy on masks, please email sales@theark.com.au
